Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

The short version

  • Ruvkgo stores your routes, stops, and settings only on your own device.
  • There is no Ruvkgo account, no Ruvkgo server, and nothing of yours is uploaded to us.
  • Your location is used only to show your position on the map and to plan routes — never collected or sold.
  • The address scanner reads text on your device. Photos are never saved or sent anywhere.
  • Google Maps and your chosen navigation app (Waze, HERE WeGo, etc.) have their own separate privacy policies.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Ruvkgo mobile application ("Ruvkgo," "the app"), available on Google Play, and to ruvkgo.com. Ruvkgo is developed and operated by Jorge Oviedo, an independent developer. There is no separate company entity behind the app — references to "we" or "us" below mean Jorge Oviedo as the app's developer.

2. Data Ruvkgo stores, and where

Ruvkgo is built so that your delivery data never has to leave your phone. The table below lists every category of data the app handles and exactly where it lives.

Data type Where it's stored Leaves the device?
Routes, stops, addresses, delivery status, history Local database on your device (Room/SQLite) No
App settings (language, map type, units, navigation app preference) Local device storage No
Current GPS location Read in real time by the device's location service; not stored by Ruvkgo No — used only to render the map and calculate route order
Camera images (address scanner) Processed in memory by on-device text recognition; not saved as a photo No
There is no Ruvkgo account system. You don't sign up, sign in, or create a profile to use the app, so we have no name, email, or password of yours to store in the first place.

3. How each permission is used

Location

Ruvkgo requests location access to center the map on your position and to calculate an efficient stop order starting from where you are. Location is read live from the device and is not logged, stored in a file, or transmitted to any server — including ours.

Camera

Camera access powers the address scanner. When you point the camera at a shipping label, on-device text recognition (Google's ML Kit, running locally) extracts the address text. The camera feed and any captured frame are processed in memory and discarded immediately after — Ruvkgo does not save photos to your gallery or send images anywhere.

Storage

Ruvkgo's local database lives in the app's private storage area on your device, accessible only to the app itself, the same way any other Android app stores its data.

4. Third-party services used by the app

Ruvkgo relies on a small number of external services to function. Each one operates under its own privacy policy, separate from this one:

  • Google Maps SDK — renders the in-app map. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Android Geocoder — converts an address you type into map coordinates, using Android's built-in system service.
  • Google ML Kit (on-device) — performs text recognition for the address scanner entirely on your device, without sending images to Google's servers.
  • External navigation apps — when you tap "Navigate," Ruvkgo opens your chosen app (Google Maps, Waze, HERE WeGo, or Organic Maps) with the destination address. Once that app opens, its own privacy policy applies, not Ruvkgo's.

Ruvkgo does not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services that collect personal data at the time of writing.

5. Data sharing and sale

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, because we never receive it in the first place. Routes, stops, scanned addresses, and history stay on your device and are never transmitted to a server we control.

6. Data retention and deletion

Since all data lives locally, you control retention directly:

  • Delete an individual route or stop any time from within the app.
  • Clear all app data from Android Settings → Apps → Ruvkgo → Storage → Clear data.
  • Uninstalling the app removes its entire local database from your device.

Because nothing is stored on a remote server, there's no separate deletion request process needed — removing the data on your device is the complete deletion.

7. Children's privacy

Ruvkgo is a route-planning tool intended for general use and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and since the app collects no personal information from anyone by design, this applies equally to users of any age.

8. International use

Ruvkgo is available in 11 languages and can be used anywhere Google Maps is supported. Because data stays on your device rather than passing through any server we operate, there's no cross-border data transfer for us to disclose.

9. Changes to this policy

If Ruvkgo's data practices change — for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud backup — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
